Hi! My name is Pawan Thapa, and I am a GIS and Remote Sensing Analyst currently working as Teaching Assistant and PhD Candidate at University of Alabama. I enjoy all things relating to geomatics engineering, geoinformatics, geoscience, and environmental science and using geospatial technology to better understand our fluvial system and earth.

Completed NASA/ASU Infiniscope training and created a virtual tour aligned with NASA science content.
Completed a 20-hour online course introducing GMT6 for geophysics, seismology, and geodesy. Learned UNIX shell scripting, automated plotting, and integration of geophysical datasets.
Awarded HydroLearn Fellowship to develop and share new course material in hydrology and water resources engineering. Participated in CIROH Virtual Summer Hackathon to create interactive learning modules for water systems modeling.
